Priorities

Education

Our public schools are the foundation of strong communities and a strong economy—but they’re being asked to do more with less. Adjusted for inflation, Minnesota schools receive less funding today than they did in 2003, even as student needs and costs have increased.

As a school board member, I’ve seen the impact firsthand. In the State Senate, I’ll work tirelessly to fully fund public education so every student—no matter their background—has the support, opportunities, and safe schools they need to succeed and build Minnesota’s future.

Affordability & Economic Fairness

Everyday costs are rising, and working families are feeling squeezed. Too many people are doing everything right and still struggling to get ahead as housing, groceries, and utilities eat up more of each paycheck.

In the State Senate, I’ll focus on lowering everyday expenses, protecting workers and strengthening unions, and holding the mega-wealthy and large corporations accountable to pay their fair share. Working families and small businesses deserve a fair shot at getting ahead and an economy that works for them, not just the powerful.

Climate & Sustainability

The future of our planet affects every family and every community. Climate action is about health, savings, and opportunity. I’ve had direct experience with and seen firsthand how smart investments in sustainability can cut emissions, lower costs, and improve health, from electric school buses to solar energy projects.

In the State Senate, I’ll advance practical, cost-saving climate solutions that protect our environment and health while creating good-paying jobs and driving innovation. We can and must leave a healthier, more affordable Minnesota for the next generation.

Community & Safety

Strong communities thrive when everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. I’ll work to strengthen public safety, ensure equitable access to services, and advance inclusive policies that reflect the real needs of our neighborhoods. Seventy percent of Minnesotans support an assault weapons ban, and it’s time to act to protect our kids and our communities.

Leadership means listening, acting with compassion, and creating environments where everyone can flourish.
